“The best moving service ever. The crew was friendly, listened to instructions, and took the initiative to solve issues on their own. Vernon and his guys were great, fast and efficient, and Jessica in the office was irreplaceable with the paperwork and details. They even made a stressful day almost enjoyable.”
Do you own the trucks and staff your own crew?
Yes, and it is family. G & G runs its own trucks from Bear with our own movers, licensed and insured, Delaware and interstate authority on file. Nobody hands your job to a broker.
How much will my move cost?
We price by the job, not the hour. A studio usually runs $320–$460 and a two-bedroom $740–$1,120, quoted as one flat figure before the date, with the $60 deposit credited to the total.
Why do you price per job instead of per hour?
An hourly rate charges you for slow movers, tight stairs, and traffic. A flat per-job price puts all of that on us, so the crew works fast and you know the number before we start.
Is the quote really final?
It is. The stairs, the long carries, and the heavy pieces are already inside the flat figure, so the number you sign is the number you owe. Want it capped? We will put a not-to-exceed in writing.
Do you charge a deposit?
A $60 deposit locks your date and comes right off the final total. Give the office two days notice to move or cancel and the deposit is refunded in full.
Are there hidden fees or sales tax?
No fuel surcharge, no stair fee, no wrap fee at the end, and no sales tax, because Delaware does not have one. The written quote is the whole price.
Do you move into PA, MD, or NJ?
Constantly. Philadelphia, Baltimore, and South Jersey are all about an hour out, and the same crew that loads you in Delaware unloads you there on one flat quote.
Can you move pianos, safes, and pool tables?
Yes, the oversized awkward pieces are our specialty, with boards, dollies, and straps on board. Pianos, gun safes, and slate pool tables are all quoted flat in writing.
How far ahead should I book?
Midweek dates usually open up within a few days. Weekends, month-end, and the Newark UD move rush book up fast, so call ahead.
What if something gets damaged?
Released value follows the federal sixty-cents-a-pound rule, while full-value protection is about one to three percent of what you declare. The filing window runs nine months, and we note anything on site the day of the move.
