“After a visit to estimate the job, G & G did everything they promised and more. The owner, Vernon, and his outstanding team of Marty and James were strong, capable, friendly, and intelligent. Everything was wrapped as promised and moved with virtually no damage, and they were flexible about a couple of last-minute changes. I hope you hire them.”
Vernon Gibson started G & G Moving in Bear in 2009 with one truck and one rule he still lives by: quote the whole job as a flat price, never by the hour, and hold it. Years later the crew has grown, much of it family, but the rule has not moved. No meter, no hidden fees, and no sales tax, because this is Delaware.
What Hasn’t Changed Since 2009
- Vernon still asks the detailed questions up front so the flat quote is right.
- Every mover is on our own crew, family and long-timers, never day labor.
- We price by the job, not the hour, so there is no clock to watch.
- The written number is the number, with no fees sprung at the end.
Rooted in New Castle County
The yard is on Salem Church Rd in Bear, minutes from I-95 and Route 1, and most of our work is close to home: Newark apartments and Wilmington row homes, Middletown new builds and New Castle colonial brick. We also run the short tri-state hops into Pennsylvania, Maryland, and New Jersey. 6,000-plus moves on, we still price every one by the job and treat it like the neighbors are watching.
